Libraries in Bromley :

Penge Library

Welcome to Penge/Anerley Library in the London Borough of Bromley.

When you visit the library you'll get a warm welcome from experienced, helpful staff, like Patricia, who is a cub leader and is very active in the community; or Vanessa, who visits schools and other places telling stories.

We are hoping to show people that libraries are for everyone, whatever their age or circumstance and that books are only a part of the service we offer.

Penge and Anerley Libraries are very close – some customers use both branches regularly for the computers and to attend the popular children's events.

Although you may not be familiar with the towns of Penge or Anerley, you may well have heard of Crystal Palace – historically famous for Joseph Paxton's glass exhibition halls, which unfortunately burned down in 1936. Crystal Palace Park is a half mile from both libraries and still provides extensive facilities for residents and those not so local.
