Welcome to Bromley Central Library, Reference & Information Services Section.

When you visit the library you'll get a warm welcome from Jenny Lewis, Senior Librarian.

Terry is one of our members of staff in Reference & Information Services. Here are a few words from Terry – "Hi, my name is Terry and I've been a library assistant here for two years. I used to work in a smaller library in Kent before working here. My ambition is to become a qualified librarian."

All the Information Services staff are happy to be part of this project and hope that some of you are able to come into the library in the near future.

Did you know...

...the Central Library has been used by television companies for filming "Who do you think you are" starring Patsy Kensit and also "Maxwell" starring David Suchet?

...the previous library building on this site cost £7,500 in 1906. Mrs Emily Dowling, who owned the house and gardens, left the site to the borough.
